Main warning: PTS is out of range (-13963), dropping buffer Main debug: Decoder buffering done in 0 ms Main debug: Stream buffering done (2600 ms in 2970 ms) This is happening with over a dozen videos I've run - all formats, and some known good files after testing on my other MAC and a Windows box. I've posted the Log from VLC below, which I see has a number of error reports. When VLC is running, it's taking up 30% CPU in Activity Monitor, on average. I've reinstalled the application, run CleanMyMac, uninstalled a number of unused programs to free up space, but can't seem to pinpoint where this isue is coming from.
I've noticed over the past week that my MBP (10.8.3), 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM has been stalling/freezing every 10 minutes or so when watching videos in VLC.
